Sam out of qualifying draw for Zurich

Sam has unfortunately lost her first round qualifying match in Zurich. She was beaten 4-6 6-2 7-6 by Pauline Parmentier on Saturday . Her attention will now turn to doubles, where she is attempting to gain enough ranking points in order for her and Lisa Raymond to gain entry to the season ending championships in Doha.

    good call on the quarters loss! they way i fig is, raysur need a semi final place in linz and also for the chinesey pair not to play! that is also presuming that linz is same tier as here :)

    I think the best chance for Sam and Lisa to qualify if they won Zurich and Linz. So much competition in the way though and the draws are really really tight
