Stosur to face Craybas in quarters

Australia’s Samantha Stosur has powered her way into the quarter-finals of the Japan Women’s Open with a 6-1 6-2 win over Japan’s Akiko Morigami.

Stosur will now play American veteran Jill Craybas who recovered from a shaky start for a 2-6 6-2 6-0 win over France’s Mathilde Johansson.

The match will be Craybas’s first quarterfinal of the year, while for Stosur it marks the sixth time she has made it to the quarterfinals or better in 2009.

This meeting will be the pair’s second match – the last time they met was in Seoul, when Stosur swept past Craybas 6-0 6-1.

    Another easy win, now the match is against Wozniacki, later the final is also gonna be tough, but Sam knows what’s the victory in Osaka, as she won her first itf tournament here, so little bit less of pressure, remember Sam, controlled agression is the best way. We love ya!
