Hi Everyone, Well since being out of the tournament there hasn’t been much slowing down and time for relaxing just yet. Yesterday I did a couple of sponsor visits for ANZ around the grounds, caught up with a couple of friends and after being at the courts for most of the day went for another Japanese dinner in Albert Park before retiring for the night. Sometimes days like that are more tiring then actually playing but it’s nice to meet new people and catch up with old friends. The amount of players left in the draw are very few now, you would have to say one surprise in the women’s singles draw is Jie Zheng. She now plays Henin in the bottom half of the draw for a place in the final. Even though a lot of players that lost have now left the tournament and most likely Melbourne a few new faces have started to wander through the corridors of Melbourne Park. The junior events started on Monday and also the Wheelchair men’s and women’s tournaments have begun. Anyone buying a ground pass in the next few days should definitely go out and support those players as you’ll see some pretty amazing tennis. Talk soon, Sam

Oh yay, another blog! You're spoiling us, Sammy ;). We're always happy to hear from you. I love it that every time you mention a restaurant you ate at, it has to be Japanese. It's only fitting that you won your first title in Osaka, isn't it? =P. Henin vs S. Williams in the finals. Can't say that it's a surprise in the end. Serena to win - then we can say that you lost to the eventual champion who played her best tennis to beat you =).

Well, it's always nice to do some stuff off-court, catch up with some friends... even if it's tiring like you said ;) I'm not sure sponsors obligations are really funny though.....lol !!! But they're part of the system so.....
Even if you're out of the Aussie Open and we're missing you there, I'm very excited by the results as well : 2 chinese girls in the semis....wow !! Pretty amazing !!! I'm quite sure it's gonna end up with a Serena/Justine final but.... who knows ??!! ;)
There are some other players I'm keeping an eye on like Tsonga of course (for those who don't know yet, I'm French....lol), who's in the semis. He's gonna play against the master Roger...can't wait !!!
There's another young and talented french junior player, whose name is Gianni Mina. He's doing well at the moment, he's the second seeded. He's known as the little Monfils, as they physically pretty much look alike, it's very funny :)
And you mentionned the wheelchair competition. Well we do have some very good french players as well, they usually end up in the semis or in the final so let's hope they can go all the way Down Under !!!
Well, it's 3:52am here and I'm watching Serena against Li. Tough one for Li !!!
    Bye for now Sammy ;)
